Plan Monitoring Advisory Committee (PMAC)
The RDK-S Solid Waste Management Plan provides specific direction for the reduction and recovery of materials discarded by residents and businesses, as well as specific direction for the landfilling of materials that are not composted or recycled. Developed under the guidance of the RDK-S Board and approved in 1995, this Plan is now being updated.
PMAC assists with the implementation and administration of the Plan and acts in an advisory role to the Regional District Board and staff on issues related to reduction and reused, education, recycling and composting, landfilling strategies, costs of the Plan components and other matters as required.
The Plan area includes all member municipalities and rural areas of the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine.
