Dease Lake Rezoning - Notice of Public Hearing

The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine is in receipt of an application to rezone a parcel of land in Dease Lake, B.C. Rezoning is the common term used to describe the process to amend a zoning bylaw. The property subject to the rezoning application is Lot 3, of District Lot 2368, Plan 10334, Cassiar District, which is located on Tatcho Street. The application submitted by the property owners has received first and second reading by the Regional District Board and is now proceeding to a public hearing. Local government legislation (Local Government Act Section 890) requires that a public hearing must be held prior to adopting any bylaw change and all person who believe that their interest in the property is affected by the proposed bylaw must be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard or present written submission to matters contained in the bylaw.

The Public Hearing for the rezoning of the subject property is scheduled for 7:00 pm, Monday, February 13, 2012 at the office of School District No. 87 on Commercial Drive in Dease Lake.
