    Project Manager

    The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine is seeking an individual for the position of Project Manager. This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary and a full range of benefits.

    The position is based in Terrace B.C. This area is known for its world-class fishing and outdoor adventure opportunities, including a ski hill, 18-hole golf course, hiking and mountain biking trails. The area offers quality advanced education opportunities with both the Coast Mountain College and a University of Northern BC satellite campus. There is also a well-developed arts and cultural community, recreation facilities and library.

    Reporting to the Director of Works & Services, the Project Manager is responsible for performing complex and varied engineering and project management work that may involve project design and management for large projects. The Project Manager applies proper principles and practices of the profession to ensure results are achieved in a sound and practical manner.

    Operations Manager

    The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine is seeking an individual for the position of Operations Manager. This is a permanent full-time position offering a competitive salary and a full range of benefits.

    The position is based in Terrace B.C. This area is known for its world-class fishing and outdoor adventure opportunities, including a ski hill, 18-hole golf course, hiking and mountain biking trails.     This position reports directly to the Director of Works & Services. The primary responsibility of this position is to direct field staff and contractors and communicate with government agencies.   The primary objective of this position is the management of the maintenance and minor capital improvements of RDKS owned infrastructure including utilities (water/sewer/leachate), buildings, and fleet, ensuring that all necessary steps are completed to provide essential services to the community and stakeholders.  The Operations Manager is also responsible for providing feedback/responses to stakeholders and governing agencies including general enquiries and annual reporting.

    This position has a high degree of flexibility/freedom to work without direct supervision.
