We're excited to announce the launch of our compost pilot project!
Beginning Saturday, May 16, compost will be available for sale at the Thornhill Transfer Station. The pilot project will run for 5 months, we'll then review how the season went and the RDKS Board will determine if compost sales become permanent.
Here's what to expect:
- Cost is $5 per 250L, or 0.25 cubic metres (how much is that? see the image below)
- Compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis
- Shovels will be available for your use, but customers are expected to self-load into their containers and vehicles
- No containers will be provided, please bring if you need them
- Payment by credit or debit only, TTS can't accept cash
