Finding Funding in the NorthRDKS Economic Development is excited to host ‘Finding Funding in the North’—an interactive event teaching the basics on how to successfully identify and apply for funding in Northern B.C.

- How to develop a project plan and budget (as well as templates for you to use later)
- What to expect when you’re applying

- Tips, tricks, and resources

- Derek Baker (Northern Development Initiative Trust) on programs available to community groups and small businesses in the North
- Kaitlyn Joyce (Community Futures) on programs, services, and funding available to small businesses
- Erica Thomson (Grant Writer) on how to access grant writing services in the North
- Lisa Rosenberg (United Nations Association in Canada) on funding evaluation and how to make your application ‘approvable’
- Maggie Hall (Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine) on the fundamentals to preparing a successful application
